I use a similar setup with isa2000 on one server (with spamfilter & 3rd party antiviruswall) and exchange 2000 on different server.

firewall 192.168.1.1

server1 - isa2000  logsat 3rdpartyviruswall 172.18.25.253 192.168.1.5

server2 - exchange 2000 172.18.25.250

Firewall passes mail to 192.168.1.5:25 Server1 logsat listens on 192.168.1.5:25 and passes mail to 3rdpartyviruswall at 172.18.25.253:25 then mail is passed to server2 exchange at 172.18.25.250:25, exchange sends outgoing mail to server1 3rdpartyviruswall at 172.18.25.250 which sends via dns to internet.

You should be able to do almost the same thing by config your exchange to listen on internalIP:2550 and logsat listen on other IP:25 and pass mail to internalIP:2550.
